Meet Elin Bråten: Dance Polymath
By day, a meticulous pharmacist. By night, a dance instructor with nearly 25 years of experience. Elin’s dance journey is a testament to her versatility – from folk swing at 13 to mastering styles like salsa, tango, and hip hop. Her West Coast Swing adventure began in 2015, and she’s been spreading dance joy ever since.
Memduh Sualp: A Dance Pioneer
A true dance historian, Memduh played a pivotal role in introducing Lindy Hop and Boogie Woogie to Norway in the 1980s. Learning West Coast Swing directly from the legendary Buddy Schwimmer in the early 1990s, he and his then-wife dominated the Norwegian Swing/Boogie Woogie scene, becoming champions for an impressive 10 consecutive years.
